The bandh had a significant impact in Sonua, Manoharpur, Bandgaon, and Saranda, with shops and markets closed and deserted streets. On Tuesday night, Naxals attempted to plant explosives on the railway tracks between Manoharpur and Jaraikela. Security forces arrived, and the Naxals fled. After inspecting and repairing the tracks, train services resumed at 6 am on Wednesday. In another incident, Naxals attempted to disrupt rail traffic on the Karampada rail section, which handles only freight trains. The bandh had no effect in the Chandil subdivision.

Long-distance buses bhi bandh ke karan nahi chali. Naxal logon ne Manoharpur, Bandgaon aur Sonua jaise jagah par posters lagaake darr dikhane ki koshish ki. Bandh ka Sonua, Manoharpur, Bandgaon aur Saranda mein kaafi asar dekha gaya. Dukaanen aur haat-bazaar band rahe aur sadkon par sunnata raha. Kam log gharon se bahar nikle. Manoharpur ke Chhota Rawangda aur Raikapat mein Naxal logon ne posters aur banners lagaye. Mangalwar raat ko, Naxal logon ne Manoharpur-Jaraikela ke beech third rail line par bomb lagaane ki koshish ki. Security forces ke aa jaane par, Naxal log bhag gaye. Tracks ki jaanch aur repair karne ke baad, train services Wednesday subah 6 baje shuru hue. Dusri taraf, Karampada rail section mein Naxal logon ne rail patari ko udaanek ki saazish ki. Is section mein train services band rahi, kyuki yah section sirf maalgadi ke liye hai. Chandil subdivision mein bandh ka koi asar nahi dekha gaya.
