The boy, identified as Kalicharan Marandi (14), son of Budhiram Marandi, residing at Arada Bazar, Balasore, PS Balasore Sadar, Balasore District, Odisha, said he had run away from home a few days ago due to a family dispute. He reached Mahuda railway station on the evening of May 15 after changing trains and using public transport. The minor boy was taken to the RPF post for proper care and protection, and all available facilities were provided as per the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act-2015. His family members were informed on the mobile number 7605965020. The RPF post informed the railway Child Line Dhanbad for further action. Following all legal formalities, the RPF post handed over the minor to the Railway Child Line Dhanbad.

Ladke ne apna naam Kalicharan Marandi (14), pita Budhiram Marandi, pata Arada Bazar, Balasore, PS Balasore Sadar, Balasore District, Odisha state ka rehne wala bataya. Usne bataya ki kuchh din pehle woh apne parivar ke saath viवाद hone ke karan ghar se bhaag gaya tha. 15 May sham ko woh kuchh train badalne aur public transport ka use karne ke baad Mahuda railway station pahuncha tha. Minor ladke ka uचित देखभाल एवं संरक्षण के तहत आरपीएफ पोस्ट में रखा गया। साथ ही किशोर न्याय (बच्चों की देखभाल और संरक्षण) अधिनियम-2015 के दिशा निर्देश के अनुसार सभी उपलब्ध सुविधाएं प्रदान की गई। उसके परिवार के सदस्यों को उन लोगों के मोबाइल नंबर 7605965020 पर सूचित किया गया। साथ ही आगे की कार्रवाई के लिए रेलवे चाइल्ड लाइन धनबाद को इसकी सूचना दी गयी। आरपीएफ पोस्ट ने सभी कानूनी औपचारिकताओं का पालन करते हुए रेलवे चाइल्ड लाइन धनबाद को उस नाबालिग को सौंप दिया.
