Tamil Nadu surges ahead with railway development initiatives while Kerala falls behind

Despite numerous railway projects underway in Tamil Nadu, Kerala's progress is sluggish. While both states oppose the Union government on various fronts, they are subtly pressuring officials to prioritize rail development within their territories. Tamil Nadu successfully completed the Madurai-Thoothukudi line doubling for Rs. 1,890 crores, significantly boosting southern connectivity. Numerous...

electrification projects are also underway in Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Kerala faces land acquisition delays and has yet to respond to the Railways' request to share the Sabari railway line's cost, despite a two-month deadline. The state's financial crisis is believed to be the reason for its silence. The Railways require a response from Kerala on the project's estimated budget of Rs. 3,810 crores, with the state expected to contribute half, or Rs. 1,905 crores. However, Kerala is currently struggling to pay its employees' salaries, and the central fund of Rs. 100 crores can only be used after the state approves the budget and proceeds with project implementation.

Tamil Nadu mein bahut saare railway projects chal rahe hain, lekin Kerala mein yeh kaam bahut dhire chal raha hai. Dono states Union government ke against hain, lekin apne states mein rail development ke liye pressure bhi daal rahe hain. Tamil Nadu mein Madurai-Thoothukudi line doubling Rs. 1,890 crores...

mein complete ho gaya, jisse south Tamil Nadu mein connectivity bahut strong hui. Wahan bahut saare electrification projects bhi chal rahe hain. Iske opposite, Kerala mein land acquisition mein delay ho raha hai. Railways ne Sabari railway line ke cost share karne ke liye Kerala ko letter likha tha, lekin 2 months baad bhi koi reply nahi aaya. State ki financial crisis iski wajah hai. Railways ne Kerala se project ka estimated budget (Rs. 3,810 crores) ke baare mein bhi reply maanga hai. Kerala ko Rs. 1,905 crores contribute karna hai, lekin state apne employees ko salary dene mein bhi struggle kar raha hai. Rs. 100 crores central fund tabhi use ho sakta hai jab state budget approve karega aur project start karega.

These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
