The third bridge, with 21 pillars, is being built between Pasarlapudi and Bodasakurru over the Vainateya River. All three bridges are in different stages of construction. Upon completion, this line will create a new railway connection in the Konaseema region, acting as an alternative route for the main line traffic. The construction of the Narasapur-Kotipalle railway line was first proposed during the British era, but it remained confined to surveys for many years. Former CM Chandrababu Naidu brought it to the attention of the central government. In 2014, after coming to power, the BJP promised to complete this project. Subsequently, the project was undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs. 2,120 crores. The state government was expected to contribute Rs. 525 crores. However, the YSRCP government's failure to provide its share of funds and the stalled land acquisition have led to the project's stagnation.
