Soon we may see new methodology of train operation in IRlys on GQ-GD routes where the track capacity utilisation shall be maximised and avg. speeds increased bu clubbing similar trains together to minimize the incidences of overtaking amongst trains.
(1) a few fast passenger corridors of 130 kmph speed during a day where Premium trains like Rajdhani/Shatabdi etc & SF trains withLHB coaches shall operate with a time interval of a few minutes. We can expect avg speed of 70-90kmph for such trains
(2) a few slower passenger corridors of 110kmph...

(3) a few freight corridors of 80-100 kmph speed during a day where Ia variety of freight trains like bulk goods/ container/ parcel/ RORO etc. shall operate with a time interval of a few minutes. We can expect avg speed of 40-50kmph for such trains for ICF coach trains and slower corridors (70-90kmph) for freight trains on GQ-GD routes
(4) After commissioning of DFCs we may see a 160/180kmph semi high speed corridor on associated GQ-GD routes where Vande-Bharat type train sets/ PushPull Tejas type trains are expected to operate with an avg speed of 100-130 kmph
