Judo (78kg weight class), has a track record of success including gold medals in the Khelo India Games, All India University Games, and Asian Judo Championship. She won a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and will compete in the Olympics on August 2nd and 3rd. Priyanka Goswami, stationed at the Izzatnagar division of the Northeast Railway, qualified for the 20km walking event. This is her second Olympic appearance, having participated in the Tokyo 2020 Games and showing significant improvement since then. Another athlete from the Northeast Railway, Ajay Sarोज, missed the Olympics due to an injury sustained shortly before the trials despite qualifying for the 1500m race. India is hoping to surpass its record-breaking performance at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where it won 7 medals, surpassing the previous record of 6 set in 2012. Former Olympian and captain of the Indian Women's Hockey team, Prem Maya, is confident that India will bring home many medals and that the nation's dominance in sports is growing. Preti Dube, also a former Olympian and member of the Indian Women's Hockey team, concurs, highlighting India's recent successes in international competitions like the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and World Championships. Guwahati-Jammu Tawi Express has been stalled at Lucknow Junction for approximately 5 hours. It is being diverted to the Mankapur-Ayodhya-Barabanki route. Passengers near the station are opting for buses and other vehicles to reach their destinations. Railway officials from Lucknow have reached the accident site, where rescue and relief efforts are underway. Several train routes have been diverted, and railway ambulances have been dispatched to the location. The railway PRO, Mahesh Gupta, confirmed that a railway ambulance reached the accident site after the 15904 Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed between Motiganj and Jhilahi stations. The incident resulted in the derailment of 15 coaches, including 3 AC coaches, and resulted in the deaths of 5 passengers and injuries to 25 others. Helpline numbers have been issued for the assistance of passengers.

Station ke paas ke bahut saare passengers train chod kar bus aur other vehicles se apne destination ki taraf nikal gaye hain. Lucknow se railway officials accident site pe pahunch gaye hain. Wahan rescue aur relief work chal raha hai. Kai trains ke route divert kiye gaye hain aur railway ambulances bhi wahan pahunch gayi hain. Railway PRO, Mahesh Gupta ne confirm kiya ki Motiganj-Jhilahi stations ke beech 15904 Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derail ho gayi aur railway ambulance waha pahunch gayi hai. Accident se 15 coaches, including 3 AC coaches, derail ho gaye aur 5 passengers ki death ho gayi aur 25 injured hue. Passengers ki madad ke liye helpline numbers jaari kiye gaye hain.
