Previously, goods arriving by parcel or freight trains were subject to time limits for storage, with charges levied by the railway beyond those limits. However, with these terminals, businesses can pay a set fee and store their goods for as long as they need.

The Dhanbad Division has become the top freight-loading division in the country for the second year in a row, achieving 188.74 million tons of loading, generating revenue of ₹26307.90 crores. The CIC section loaded 16224 rakes of coal in the 2023-24 fiscal year, exceeding the previous year's 14470 rakes. This section alone loaded approximately 65 million tons of coal, creating a new record. The celebration was attended by numerous railway employees from various stations within the CIC section, including Tori, Shivpur, Fulvasia, Kusmahi, Balumath, Kuju, Charhi, Patratu, Bhurkunda, Barkakana, and Chainpur.
