Pithampur mein population badhne aur budget issues ki wajah se direct line banane ki jagah tunnel banane ki jaroorat padi. Rau se Tihi tak track already laid hai, aur Tihi tak container trains chal rahi hain. Tihi se Pithampur tak earthwork complete ho gaya hai, aur track bhi laid kiya ja raha hai. Dhar ki taraf, Sulawad, Ghatabilloud, aur Gunavad tak earthwork complete ho chuka hai.
