The Railway authorities are conducting special drives to curb this issue, including deploying RPF personnel, railway officers, supervisors, and ticket examiners at major stations. Despite these efforts, ticketless travel continues, even extending to AC coaches of express and superfast trains. The East Central Railway collected ₹64.17 lakh in fines from over 12,000 ticketless passengers in a single day on August 31st, 2023.

Vinod Kumar, Additional Officer (AO) of Sonpur, has been given the additional charge of Station Director at Muzaffarpur Junction. He assumed the post on Thursday, following the retirement of Manoj Kumar, the previous Station Director. Vinod Kumar will now be the acting Station Director at Muzaffarpur Junction.

Muzaffarpur Junction ke Station Director ka additional charge, Sonpur ke AO Vinod Kumar ko diya gaya hai. Unhone Thursday ko yeh post sambhaal liya hai. Pehle Station Director Manoj Kumar ki retirement ke baad yeh post khali thi. Ab Vinod Kumar Muzaffarpur Junction ke acting Station Director ban gaye hain.
