the Giridih-Koderma (102.5 km), Koderma-Ranchi (189 km), Koderma-Tilaiya (86 km), Parsnath-Madhuban-Giridih (49 km), and Dhanbad-Chandrapura-Tund-Nichitpur (25.81 km) new lines. The budget also allocated funds for doubling the Garhwa Road-Ramna, Dania-Ranchi Road (partial), Ranchi Road-Patratu (31 km), Dhanbad-Sonnagar (291 km) lines, and for constructing a third line between Dhanbad and Sonnagar. Further, funds were allocated for constructing a flyover for down trains in Gomoh, a rail-over-rail bridge between Garhwa Road and Ramna, and a bridge over level crossings in Tetulmari, Gomoh, and Khanudih. A bridge over level crossing 20 at Keswari, replacing the existing gate, is also part of the project. Additionally, funds were allocated for the construction of a bridge over level crossing number 1 between Katrasgarh and Nichitpur, and for the doubling of the Chandrapura-Jamuniatand line, along with multi-tracking between Sonnagar and Andal, and construction of a three-kilometer marshalling yard at Sindri.

Various improvements have been made to the division, including the expansion of platform number one at Katras station and the extension of the foot-over bridge at Gomoh station. A new alternative line is under construction for the DC line, starting from Gaya police outer in Dhanbad and reaching Telo via Matari, which will help eliminate the need to change engines at Gomoh for trains going to Chandrapura. To increase train speed, thick-web switches have been installed at eight locations, enabling trains to run at 160 km/h. These locations are Khalari, Barkakana, Bhandaridih, Chopan, Mirchadhuri, Phusro, Rey, and Ranaghat stations. In anticipation of the upcoming Shravani Mela, the Dhanbad Rail Division has requested a special train from Dhanbad to Sultanagunj. A request for a train for Chhath has also been submitted, including a special train from Dhanbad to Sitamarhi and Gorakhpur.
