The freight revenue during this period was 3,727.624 crores, a 29.71% rise from the previous year. Coal contributed most to Eastern Railway's freight traffic with a 35.17% increase compared to the previous year, reaching 27.353 million tonnes. Other significant contributors include pig iron and semi-finished steel, iron ore, cement, clinker, and food grains.
