He highlighted the importance of the fourth line project, currently underway between Howrah, Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Rourkela, Bhubaneswar, and Jharsuguda, which aims to improve train punctuality. He also mentioned ongoing initiatives to enhance passenger facilities at various stations including Rourkela, Jharsuguda, and Jadugoda. The GM instructed the RPF to investigate the issue of illegal vending at Rourkela Station. He clarified that the investigation into the Howrah-Mumbai Mail accident is ongoing and no employee negligence has been found so far. He also addressed concerns about the use of old wagons for freight transport, stating that they are replaced as per their scheduled time frame. The GM's visit included inspections of development works in Rourkela, Bisra, and Panposh, and he inaugurated the Data Logger & MSDAC Monitoring Cell at the S&T department premises in Chakradharpur.

Unhone yeh bhi bataya ki Howrah, Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Rourkela, Bhubaneswar aur Jharsuguda ke beech fourth line ka project chal raha hai, jiske hone se train time par chalegi. Unhone Rourkela, Jharsuguda aur Jadugoda jaise kai stations par passenger facilities badhane ke liye chal rahe kaam ke baare mein bhi bataya. GM ne Rourkela Station par illegal vending ke matter ki jaanch karne ke liye RPF ko instructions di. Unhone yeh bhi bataya ki Howrah-Mumbai Mail accident ki investigation abhi bhi chal rahi hai aur abhi tak koi bhi employee ki negligence nahin mili hai.
